How to Say “That’s All” in Persian (Farsi)

How to Say “That’s All” in Persian (Farsi)

Sometimes, you just want to say “That’s it.”
You know — the moment when words are done.

In Persian, you can say:

🕊️ همین و بس (hamin o bas) — That’s all.

💌 والسلام (vassalām) — literally “and peace,” but used like “and that’s that.”

You might hear it in songs, poems, or playful conversations —Let's see some examples:

Like in Shahram Solati’s line:

Starts at 00:30

“دوستت دارم، عاشقتم، والسلام.”
I love you, I’m crazy about you — and that’s that. ❤️
/dooset dāram, āsheghetam, vassalām/

Or in a sad, romantic song by Shadmehr Aghili شادمهر عقیلی:

“سهم من از بودن تو، یه خاطرهست، همین و بس.”
My share of being with you is just a memory — that’s all.
/sahm-e man az boodan-e to, ye khāterast, hamin o bas/

So next time you want to say “that’s all” in Persian, choose your vibe:

  • همین و بس → simple and casual

  • والسلام → poetic and dramatic (Shirin approved )
