Hamchelle هم‌چله: A Song for Yalda and Beyond

A Yalda Song From My Heart to Yours

From the very first moment I started writing Hamchelle همچله, I felt it wasn’t “just” a song.
It was a journal entry from my soul — uncensored, unexpected, and lovingly whispered into my hands.

I didn’t plan it.
I didn’t “compose” it the way I normally do.
It arrived. Like a message. Like a winter guest carrying a lantern.

And now, with all my heart, I offer it to you — as a Yalda gift, a companion for long nights, and a reminder that dawn always returns.

🎥 The Music Video

Fun fact: this music video was filmed completely on a phone.
No studio. No big cameras. Just creativity, Bossa Nova chords, and a moment of courage.

I didn’t intend to make a video at all — but here we are, and I hope it warms your heart as much as it warmed mine. 💝

❄️ What Does Hamchelle هم‌چلهMean?

A chelle/ چله is a forty-day winter period rooted in ancient Persian tradition — a symbol of endurance, transformation, purification, and renewal.

Hamchelle (هم‌چله) is not a common Persian term.
It’s a coinage — a poetic creation — meaning:

“A companion who stays with you through your longest winter.”

A partner of resilience.
A keeper of light.
A presence through darkness until spring arrives.

To me, Hamchelle represents:

✔ the harmony between the feminine and masculine inside us
✔ a partner who walks with you through life’s cold seasons
✔ a deep love that helps you endure winter until Nowrooz comes
✔ your own heart, which stays with you through every shadow

(By “complementary forces,” I mean energies that coexist beautifully — not opposites in conflict, but a balance that creates harmony.)

This song can be sung to a lover, a friend, a soulmate, or even to your inner self.
